1. Thunder over Louisville. It's a big ol' all-day thing where they fly military planes overhead as a demonstration and the finale is a massive fireworks show. Can't get more American then that.

2. Well, Thunder, the fireworks part, is a good forty minutes or so with a ten-minute big finale so...that's about right.

Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence; Massachusetts, Virginia, and Maryland were three of the original thirteen colonies (states); and the Civil War was fought in the 1800s.

Congratulations on becoming a US citizen, and thank you for sharing your story with us! If I did the math correctly (meaning I very well could be wrong), you became a citizen on March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation. Such a beautiful feast for such an important day in your life!
