Bluey is the best kid show for sure! Anything with Lucky’s dad in it is pure comedic gold. The episode “Stumpfest,” is the greatest episode imo. The episode “sleepytime,” is the most touching. There are games my kids and I now play because they were in a bluey episode. Tickle crabs, follow the leader, bad mood, asparagus wand, magic xylophone, and keepyu ppy. These were mostly instigated by my almost 4 year old. She sees Bandit play them and she turns to me and immediately wants to continue the game “for real life.” It is the highest honor in my house to be compared to Bandit at times. The dog, the legend.
I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews of it! We don’t have a TV lol but I might have to propose James and I watching it online after the girls go to bed, if nothing else, because all my parents friends rave about it haha.
Yeah pinkfong is rough. We actually don’t mind baby shark too much because we just mix up the words to be the soundtrack for literally anything we’re doing... and V loves dancing to it. But everything else? *shudder*
Definitely look up the pout pout fish - it’s *chefs kiss* silly poetic perfection
My kids are mid-30s now but I remember these kind of good times like they were yesterday.
In our day it was Pokemon, Power Rangers, Goosebumps and lots and lots of Lego. We all detested Barney, tolerated Sesame Street and absolutely got high on the oldies - Bugs, Yosemite, Snoopy. Many Saturday mornings spent on the floor eating dry cereal from the box watching our Toons. Me usually in the middle.
Your life with your kids sounds amazing! Each little text box brought a grin or a giggle.
You're very welcome! Oh man, Barney was something else. My kids recently discovered Woody Woodpecker (the reboot) and when I showed them the original and some Looney Toons, they were hooked immediately. Thank you for reading!
• I have two girls! A 3-year old and 4-month-old. The big about wishing your daughter would eat more instead of asking for a snack every 30 minutes… wow… it’s like you’re in my house!
• I’m pretty good with kids. I tend to have dramatic reactions to things and will fake gasp a lot. Kids seems to think it’s funny. My wife doesn’t love that but I just reminder her, “this is what you married into. Says more about you than me..”
• I REALLY dislike anything Cocomelon or Pinkfong. When grandparents introduce them into henhouse …🙄
• I certainly identify with Bandit (a.k.a. Dad). I’ve played bum bongo drums a few times and love to play with my girls. And to set my oldest to learn things on her own.
• I don’t remember loving any particular young children’s book before the Chronicles of Narnia but my brother and I were OBSESSED with those books for a time.
I do love to read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear”‘to my 3 YO daughter in “Southern voice;” where I put on a VERY heavy southern accent. She thinks it’s funny. I do too.
If you read “love you forever,” by Robert Munsch and don’t cry, there is something wrong with you.
These are a bit obscure but were favorites
1. Pig will pig won’t
2. Caps for sale
3. Big red barn
4. Quick as a cricket
Caps for sale is a favorite over here. I think we have a copy of "Love you forever," will need to reread it.
I can’t stand paw patrol anymore.

Ben, if you're ever in trouble just yelp for help.
We play statues, feather wand, and others. Stumpfest is a good one hehehe.
1. Yes
2. On a good day 😅
3. Only today I discovered that pinkfong has an album about cars that is loathsome...
4. I haven’t watched Bluey does that make me a fake parent 😳
5. The Pout-Pout Fish 🐠
I would highly recommend Bluey, fun for the whole family.
Gosh, pinkfong is cocomelon's poor cousin and just as bad.
I'm going to need to check out the pout-pout fish!
