Yeah, just the normal sore neck and shoulders every once in a while. My break fall has gotten way better to the point that I don't dread practicing takedowns anymore. However, my side break fall needs some work. I kept posting my left forearm while doing a rear takedown and it wasn't pretty. Also, I had to roll with another white belt, three stripe white belt, but still a white belt and he was going so hard. Everyone is cool but every now and then I get someone who is a little too eager, and then I'm sore the next day LOL.
Soreness is okay! I just wanna make sure you're not sustaining any joint damage or getting your head banged up, mainly. Those are the 2 most common problems I see in BJJ, especially with white belts (but it goes all the way up to black belt).
That side breakfall is tough, but it'll come over time! You can practice it down low, very close to the mat, if you want to (so you gradually build competence and confidence).
How's training going otherwise (besides gassing)? Is your body doing all right? Any falls lately?
