Oh boy, you've triggered my Beatlemania - I've been a mega fan for years, and this new song has me emotional! Favorite song: Let It Be. Favorite Beatle: Paul. My favorite album is Sgt. Pepper's, and my poor husband still patiently sits through the movies with me.
2. I have no faith and will answer honestly if asked about that, though generally I try to avoid discussing religion or my lack thereof at work. If someone wants to tell me about theirs, I'm genuinely interested as long as they know I'm not going to be participating myself.
I think it's interesting how you're not supposed to talk about faith and politics and we (society now) seem to talk about that at length. Maybe that doesn't apply anymore?
I was raised secular and as an atheist with some Jewish culture and traditions. Secularism is much more important to me than atheism; these days I take a live-and-let-live attitude towards religion. As long as no one is trying to blow me up or convert me, I want everyone to practice their religions in the ways that are right for them.
I would conjecture that politics may have taken the place of religion in my family, probably not unusual for secular Jews. But I haven't really pointed that out to any of my elders, several of whom are still militantly anti-religious in a way I find a bit tiresome.
I've never heard a discussion about faith in my workplace (in Japan).
Favourite Beatles song: Dig A Pony
Favourite Beatle: George
Not making any milk punch this weekend, but I'm a huge fan of egg nog, and I like to make some every year. So while I won't be making any cocktails this weekend, I do hope to try your recipes somewhere down the road.
Reading your posts is always an education. What is Umcka?
Umcka is an elderberry syrup that's advertised to shorten cold and flu symptoms. And it works!
Thanks, that makes sense, contains high vitamin c.

I haven't watched any of the Beatles movies. Challenge accepted!

Were you raised in any particular faith?

What do you do in Japan?
I don't remember "Dig A Pony," I'm going to have to look it up.
George is a good one. The "For George" concert is pretty good.
Japan, I think, has a healthy bar tender culture. I've seen a few YouTube videos of very ceremonious mixologists.
I work in HR development and do a fair amount of translating. And ceremonious is a great word for it.
