Keurig has to be lawful evil, say I! The rigidity of the procedures, the requirement to use the products provided to you (unless you buy the one that you refill with your own grounds), all the beautiful orderly organization solutions for the cups that are about to become useless plastic trash - extremely lawful, right? Cold brew can be chaotic. I've seen people just drink that straight out of the bottle.

Chaotic neutral works for us Chemex people though. My husband and I still dispute over the proper water temperature, but I have to admit it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I really liked my Chemex, except I noticed the same coffee would taste "flat" when made in the Chemex vs my Aeropress or Pour Over. I think the Chemex filters are to blame, they're really good at what they do that they strip some of the aromas/fatty acids of the coffee. I'm not complaining, just reporting my findings.

Hm, did you use the paper filters? We didn't really like those so ended up with an off-brand stainless steel filter.

Affirmative. A stainless steel filter sounds like a good solution, except our Chemex broke a while ago. It was tragic, really.

Instead of "lawful good", I think I'm "lazy good." Can we make a new category?

On the assumption that "drip" refers to the filter method, I am somewhat relieved to find myself in the good and lawful bracket. I do have a cafetiere (also known as a French press I believe?) in reserve for emergencies and it also goes on holiday with me after one horrifying experience of a self-catering accommodation which only had one of those pod machines that George Clooney seems to want to sell us here in the UK. Yuck.

When I was younger and wanted free coffee, I would go to a fancy store that sold kitchen appliances, inquire about the George Clooney coffee machines, and almost always would get a free beverage. I'm sure the salesperson knew I didn't have intent to buy and played along, God bless them.
