I love your recommendation on the cocktail! I, too, live in Phoenix and I am so delighted that Tuesday begins our cooler weather next week. Love to read your posts, keep up the great work.

Zelie Martin seems to be someone I call upon regularly

A movie that I get to pick with warm dinner I didn't make. That's my favorite way to end a week

Ive been thinking about question #2 and i cant shake that i feel a weird kinship with St Justin Martyr, and not just because of synchronicity of his day and an important day in my own life. I think ill meditate on this some more.

Another great post. I love this format, glad to hear a follow up about the wine! What a great way to Christen the next decade of your marriage—with friends!

St. Justin Martyr is a good one. You did notice he has the word "Martyr" in his name, right?

I did—i am learning a lot about my spiritual life and i think i need that sword of damocles. I dont presume to think that I am worthy of a martyrs crown but i think if i can see my quotidian suffering as a “long martyrdom” it helps somehow 😂
