Although mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweat potatoes, cranberry sauce, cornbread are all delicious; Stuffing is the only side that is exclusively ‘thanksgiving’ and thus, the best.
I would say all my substack posts are type II fun haha. I really have to force myself to do them but they are enjoyable to look back on.
I was laughing yesterday about how little things annoy me and how silly it is to make them bigger than they are. I do it all the time. I said to myself, “Dude, get a life.” Today I’m going shopping for one.😜
We watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade every year, but this year I found myself wondering if I’d want to watch it with any future children I ever have. Maybe recorded on the DVR for easy fast-forwarding of the weirdness…
Regarding Charlie Brown, we have a DVD with the regular Thanksgiving special and the pilgrim movie they did. Perhaps for next year you could get a disc of the movie so that you and your family can watch it.
Do you by any chance get Great American Family on tv? They just aired a wonderful Christian movie about the history of I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. It’s a Civil War movie and has some very sad scenes, so I wouldn’t recommend it for young children, but you and Diana might enjoy it. It’s being aired again Saturday evening. I can’t recommend it enough; it’s one of the best films I’ve seen.
1. My favorite Thanksgiving side is Chicken-in-dressing. Really it could be as main dish but is obviously a side to the turkey.
2. The last time I experienced type II fun was Tuesday morning at the gym. Had some really great deadlift sets. My last set was 275lbs for 5 reps and felt like I could probably have done more but didn’t want to push it as I had already done quite a few sets.
3. That definitely falls into the category of happy accident.
Thanks for the call to gratitude! Happy Thanksgiving!
While we don't have this holiday in the UK I do think a day of thanksgiving is admirable. We should make an effort to give thanks more often.
Agreed.

1. All of them.
2. It’s been way too long.
3. Definitely.

They might be on sale LOL

I've never heard of that side, talk about a protein boost.
My man! 275 is a lot of weight for 5 reps. Back in the day I think my max deadlift was like 315.
Happy Thanksgiving!
