1. Only because it was constantly in the news cycle.

2. Power of God. Cast into Hell. And here’s another: “wickedness and snares of the devil” or “malice and snares of the devil”?

3. Yes.

Just “power of God.” I have never heard anyone say “malice” instead of “wickedness”. I like it. I also like “cast” instead of “thrust.” I like the image of St. Michael causally casting the Devil into hell then walking away not looking at the explosion(but it was probably more of a poof). I also like how most pictures of Saint Michael standing on top of the devil with a spear have him with a very mild expression in his face. He is like “this isn’t even worth my time. I feel sorry for you that you chose wrong”

1) Not closely

2) I didn't realize there were variations! But I've pretty much only heard "By the powers of God."

3) 100% especially because I share an alma mater with the Pope and I still can't get over it ahfdaliaphgsfdhdsfj!!

1. With bated breath.

2. Power of God. Now another question: do you say “cast into Hell” or “thrust into Hell”? I’ve heard both.

3. It’s pretty much all my conversations have been about lately. The most memorable for me though is a brief text conversation yesterday afternoon with a priest in the crowd at the Vatican (and briefly visible in the livestream feed while we waited to hear the pope’s name). I received photos and some videos from Vatican Square, and I shall cherish them as a piece of history forever.

I've had a renewed appreciation for the Pope. The position is critically important. It seems to be the last bastion of defense against an encroaching culture.
